Our Projects

Most of Uganda’s farmers are small scale subsistence farmers. Food security for the farming family, and Uganda as a whole, has always been a challenge, and is becoming evermore so with a changing climate and declining soil fertility. We are working with partners and farmers to demonstrate regenerative methods of farming which enhance soil fertility and increase food security.

One third of all food harvested in Uganda is lost before it gets to the people it is meant to feed. We are working with our local partners to cut the waste.

FOAG funds the training of three nurses each year at Kiwoko Hospital. Training takes 2.5 years, so typically there are 9 FOAG nurses in training at any one time. This significant contribution to Uganda’s healthcare is something our supporters can be very proud of.

Kumi Hospital is a private, not-for-profit, 350 bed hospital providing medical and surgical treatment for children and adults.

Improving the quality of life for children in one of the poorest regions in Eastern Uganda. Many children have benefited from medical treatment or surgery during the past year.

The letter A in FOAG stands for Action. Generous donations have enabled children like Benson who had club feet to be operated upon and now he can walk properly.

Kamurasi Primary School is located on the outskirts of Masindi, one of the major urban centres in Western Uganda. It has around 800 pupils with 73 of these children suffering from mental of physical impairments.

PASNEC helps children to develop physically, emotionally, mentally, socially and spiritually.

St Francis is home to 65 disabled children who have been located at outreach clinics, in need of corrective surgery due to polio, infections in various joints, mis-directed injections (leaving them paralysed), club feet, hydrocephalus etc.
